ALL HANDS ON DECK MOMENT

Puerto Rico with a 33% census response rate is ranked 52nd and the nation after Alaska with an almost 50% response rate.

The Puerto Rican diaspora, 5.6 Million strong, is ready to support families and friends on the Island.

Together we can do better

WHY SHOULD PEOPLE IN PUERTO RICO FILL OUT THE CENSUS?

Census numbers determine:

Crisis management and planing data for future hurricane, tsunami or earthquake responses. Federal funding for low income and elderly housing. Nationwide distribution of more than $675 billion annually in federal funds for schools, hospitals, roads, and public works.

Over 1000 programs including Medicaid, Head Start Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – also known as SNAP or NAP in Puerto Rico – and Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).

If we don’t get counted, we don’t get support. The census counts for all of our people in our barrios, pueblos and municipios.
